About Refined Style Consultancy
My name is Jennifer, and I am a York based image consultant offering both online and in person services. In 2020 I qualified as a fully trained and certified Colour Consultant with Colour me Beautiful. I now offer both colour analysis and personal styling sessions to my client's. I take great pride in helping people to feel confident about themselves and believe that clothes are a silent expression of who you are.
Colour analysis first emerged in the 1980’s but it has now been updated and has had a huge resurgence in recent years. More people are turning away from fast fashion and are filling their wardrobes with timeless, flattering pieces that complement their personal shape, individual style, and colouring. When a person wears items that flatters their body shape and colouring, they will look more vibrant, youthful, and healthy.
A little about me. I worked in the corporate world for over 15 years, but I always had a keen interest in fashion and a natural creative flare. I really wanted to do something I felt passionate about and that would work well with family life, so I decided to take the leap and change my career direction. I emerged from my training with a great deal of excitement, only to launch my business straight into the middle of a global pandemic! I did not let this hold me back and quickly adapted to the online world, which is a service I still offer to client’s today. This has enabled me to work with people from all over the country and from the comfort of their own home.

Fashion and Personal Style Session
£300
A three hour fashion and personal styling session, either in person or online. Including:
- A lifestyle and wardrobe discussion
- Body shape consultation. Select the most flattering styles, cuts, fabrics and prints for your body shape
- A “shop your own wardrobe” styling session
- Advice on material composition and how to identify a quality garment
- A shopping list of items to consider adding to your wardrobe
- Online personal shopping with up to 10 links for items tailored to you
Colour Review
£80 in person, £30 online
- Have you previously had a colour analysis and believe that your colours may have changed?
- The natural process of aging can change your dominant colour palette over time, as can a change of hair colour
- Replacement colour wallets will also be available to purchase should they be required. Ranging from £45 - £55, depending on requirements
- This service is available both in person and online
- Refreshments included for in person
Gift Card
- Buy a gift voucher for any of my services for a friend or loved one. I will require a £35 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, with the rest payable 48 hours prior to the day of the consultation. A virtual gift card will be sent to you to print.
Group presentations
From £55 per person
- From hen parties, to private members clubs, office blocks, to local Church halls. No gig is too small!
- My presentation consists of a talk on the merits of colour analysis, be that to make the right impression, or simply dressing to feel your best. Including advice on how to cultivate your own unique sense of personal style, through understanding your style personality.
- My presentation will last for approx 1 hour and includes a pocket colour guide with 10 colours for each group member
